Use the City-data site to analyze data about neighborhoods. Follow these sites to access information about the neighborhoods in NYC.

Go to City-data site

Select the Neighborhood tab at the top and click on NY

Find Bedford- Stuyvesant on the 1st page. Look at the data.

Click page 2 towards the top of the page. Find Chelsea. Look at the data.
Which neighborhood do you think will offer good quality food? Explain using evidence from the site.
Bedford Park in the Bronx may not offer better quality food than East Flatbush in Brooklyn. Looking at the data I noticed that the average income of people who live in bedford park is $29,856 a year. The income of people who live in east flatbush is $46,164. People living in flatbush may be able to pay more money for better quality food.

It's time to map our data. We collected data from several different neighborhoods in NYC. Our data tells us the amount and size of grocery stores found within certain neighborhoods of NYC. We will use CartoDB to map our data. Click this LINK to access the site.
